Mark Charles to answer questions from the September Democratic Debate

The Committee to Elect Mark Charles for President is pleased to announce that Mark will host a live Zoom Webinar on Saturday, September 21 from 6pm EDT / 3pm PDT to answer questions similar to those asked at the recent Democratic Debate in Houston Texas.

Mark Charles, a dual citizen of both the United States and the Navajo Nation, is running as an independent candidate for the office of President of the United States. Mark is currently the leading independent candidate in the 2020 race. His campaign has been well publicized throughout Indian Country, is gaining publicity in the mainstream press and is also being covered globally by several international publications.

Because Mark is running as an Independent, he has not had access to many of the same platforms to discuss current issues alongside the other Presidential candidates. When he did share the stage with 10 of the Democratic candidates, including Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, at The Frank LaMere Native American Presidential Forum in Sioux City, Iowa Mark demonstrated that not only can he hold his own, but he can stand out. Mark has proven that his vision, his understanding of the issues and his ability to connect with voters makes him a viable contender in the 2020 election.

The goal of this event is to provide a platform where the public can hear Mark’s unique perspective in response to similar questions and issues as the other candidates. Allowing his platform and message for #AllThePeople to be heard and discussed nationally.

Frank LaMere Presidential Candidate Forum on Native Issues

On August 19-20 Mark Charles will be participating in the Frank LaMere Presidential Candidate Forum at the Orpheum Theatre in Sioux City. This is a historic Presidential forum as it is focusing entirely on issues specific to Native Americans. Other Presidential candidates participating in the forum include: Bernie Sanders, Marianne Williamson, Steve Bullock, Julian Castro and John Delaney.

Because Mark is running as an Independent he has not been a part of the Democratic Debates and this will be his first opportunity to share a stage with other Presidential candidates. This event will not be televised but it will be streamed online via the Four Direction website.

Among the issues expected to be explored at the forum: the scourge of murdered and missing indigenous women, Native infrastructure, Native American health care, Native education and Native economic development.
